Growing your own avocados
Try Growing your own avocados. Now this will take years to get the tree big enough, but we did this years ago on a whim, and now it's a 25 foot tree in our back yard.
Take 2 wooden skewers and stick into the pit on each side as shown. This will not be hard. Place over a bowl of water, making sure part of it is touching the water. Wait a few days until a root comes out of the bottom, and then it's ready to plant. That's it.
